Lucy Case
Name: Lucy Case
Category: New To Fitness
Search: Beg, Step, Simple Classes, 60 Min

Lucy taught her first classes, when she was in her late teens, for college students whilst dancing as a hobby at the Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden. However, she rejected a career in fitness, in favour of an artistic career and went on to become an animator and graphic designer for TV. It was only later in life that she finally came back to dance and fitness, qualified as a teacher and then as a Personal Trainer. She now runs her own successful business the Body Fitness Company.

Lucy is passionate about dance and fitness and believes strongly that it should be accessible to everyone.

  • Lucy's tips

    * Don’t spend hours in the gym working half-heartedly; work for shorter periods but at a higher intensity.
    * Every morning do 25 press-ups, 50 curls, 50 reverse curls and 60 oblique twists, whatever else happens that day, you will know you have done your abs!!!
    * Avoid all white flour foods.

Now if you are new to step then an excellent plan is to do Lucy's Introduction To Step online fitness video followed by this beginner step video.

This just progresses all you were exposed to in the introduction video, into a simple and achievable class which will begin to develop you cardio capacity, gently and smoothly. From here you will be able to join in all our beginner step videos and we do hope you enjoy this.

I really enjoyed this video about this time last year and thought I'd give it a go again as I'm trying to get back into fitness again, and I get to the jog-jog of stage three and my step gives a rather ominous crack...seems to just be the brand name panel in the middle and not anything structural but it gives me a great excuse to upgrade I guess!

I enjoyed that! I'm very pleased because I just finished the Intro Fit series a couple of weeks ago (I did the series in early 2009 and I just repeated it as I have had a year off from exercising due to illness so i needed to do it again) and I have done the 20 min Intro to Step a few times and I thought I'm ready to give this longer session a try,and I was fine! it's good fun and gets the heart going, the legs toning and a flush to the face. I'm just pleased I am now able to do it again. I'm doing the advanced step next week!!! Thank you Lucy,Caroline :-) x

It is a great feeling. keep up the contant work and the CV work will get more maneagable as you go along. Lucy FD

Hi Lucy,Feeling good - and very hot and sweaty (too much information?) after my first step workout. This is the hardest i've worked so far and obviously have a way to go as I had the step at its very lowest. You made me look good even though I'm new and I surprised myself by keeping going right to the end - although I was pleading with you to stop.Wonder how long it will take for me to get back to my usual colour!! Pretty rosy at the moment and very pleased with myself.Barbara
