Bio:

Sphinx was a dedicated athlete from a young age competing in most major sports (including rugby, football, basketball and athletics) and holding many records for Athletics at county level. This progressed to coaching children in local athletic clubs and then coaching adults in health clubs throughout London. 

 

Over the years he has followed his passion for teaching and and become a fully qualified fitness instructor/personal trainer. He has also developed a trade mark personality and  unique style which is well recognised throughout the fitness industry.


He has worked at practically every major club chain as well as private clubs and gym and is one of our most prolific, hard working trainers clocking up in excess of 20 hours per week on classes alone.


We are thrilled Sphinx can share some of his raw energy and cheeky charm with us all and put a smile on all our faces.


What drives Sphinx?


What drives me to be the best at what I do is the sheer beauty of the body and the raw energy of the "machine" and its ability to move with grace and speed. It inspires me to observe how the body responds and develops strength, power and fitness by applying the right training and nutritional programmes.  Being fit not only increases my energy levels, but enhances my mental capacity and make me feel great, which drives me to want to teach and share with the masses!


Why is fitness important to Sphinx?

 As a natural athlete with a genuine love of sport, fitness has ALWAYS been a fundamental wedge of my life. I am always seeking to expand my knowledge and maximise my fitness by researching and keeping abreast of up to date and alternative teaching techniques.  In our current age of sedentary lifestyles and body neglect I believe it is even more important to blaze and uphold a high standard of fitness and energy and I want to be a leader in this field.


Sphinx’s Tips:


Complete recovery is important to maintain good health, so get enough sleep and rest.

Find an activity you really enjoy and put your soul into it, what you enjoy, you will keep doing and this consistency will get you results.

Remember one step at a time, have fun, smile and be happy.

Hand weights (2kg - 4kg options).

Sphinx is also using a gym weight set, but handweights provide a good home option if you don't have a weights set.
