Bio:

Lucy taught her first classes, when she was in her late teens, for college students whilst dancing as a hobby at the Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden. However, she rejected a career in fitness, in favour of an artistic career and went on to become an animator and graphic designer for TV.  It was only later in life that she finally came back to dance and fitness, qualified as a teacher and then as a Personal Trainer. She now runs her own successful business the Body Fitness Company and has joined forces with ThinQ Fitness to become their Fitness Director and one of their fitness presenters.

Lucy is passionate about dance and fitness and believes strongly that it should be accessible to everyone.

Join Lucy in the blog to find out a bit about her eating habits as a busy working mum.

Lucy’s Tips:

  • Don’t spend hours in the gym working half-heartedly; work for shorter periods but at a higher intensity.
  • Every morning do 25 press-ups, 50 curls, 50 reverse curls and 60 oblique twists, whatever else happens that day, you will know you have done your abs!!!
  • Avoid all white flour foods.

Hi Dawn, well..... I recommend 3 times a week, however, I have to admit I do my abs every day (except sundays) as af†er four children the muscles slacken quickly. Therefore, i think it wise to suggest building up to this, I have a fab new routine btw which I'll film this weekend so do try it and let me know. Lucy Case FD

This is a great abs workout, quite intense but for the short time you really feel it working. How often shall I be doing this?

Great to hear from you Shama, any of the ab workouts will target that area so do try out a few so that you get some variety and also make sure you build the level up so start with beg int and when your ready move into advanced. I would think you could do this every other day to get results and every day if you want to have a great toned tum. To lose the body fat (as aposed to toning the muscle under it) then need to get into some good cardio sessions which burn off calories, why not invest in a rebounder (on sale in our shop). I have to say watching Kari`s rebounder session I thought it looked like one of the toughest workouts I`d seen. Hope this helps and plkease keep the questions coming. Happy Christmas Lucy Case Fitness Director

Hi Lucy, this was great to do after a step class. I'm really not a leg, bums & tums girl, (I find it too much like hard work :-) ) but knowing it was only 10 mins, you enticed me and i'm very glad you did! Thanks. Carole.
