Make Your Own Sports Drinks

Pre training the body is looking for more carbohydrate to prepare the muscles for work, so a drink made from 75% apple/orange juice and 25% water, is a great way to enhance glycogen storage and hydration.

 

During training the body requires fuelling and hydration in equal measures so a drink of 50% apple/orange juice and 50% water is a great way to keep oneself topped up. Post training the body needs superior hydration and some carbs coming through so the post exercise formula is 25% apple/orange juice and 75% water.


Yes its three separate drinks but most training participants expressed a view that this system did indeed reduce overall fatigue and increased fitness stamina and overall strength. Worth a try and let us know what you think!!!
