As most of you know we are great supporters and believers of the Change4Life programme, and as the programme begins to bite into the consciousness of the nation it now moves into getting the message out to a wider audience.

One of those target audiences are those parents who have begun to make changes in their kids diets, but are beginning to realise that their own health is at risk. This audience also includes any of us over the age of 40, and that includes me as you can see from this weeks featured video, that just need to pay a little more attention to what we eat and how we exercise, to ensure we are in the best health as we move forward, and to help us achieve a long and happy, healthy life.

So what should we be thinking about, well the Change4Life website wants us to focus on 6 things

And to get you going you should take a look at their Find Your Focus quiz and start identifying your first steps on the way to a fitter healthier you.

Perhaps Change 4 Life should be campaigning with the government about issues such as contradictory advertising messages. Why should we take on board anything they say when they allow Nutella to be advertised as a low GI breakfast food and cocoa pops as a healthy substitute tea time meal. It is rubbish. Food swaps? I say advertising swaps and fast.
